could larger macro lens diameter can be work on 35mm DOF adapter?
extension tube's diameter that I use to make a 35mm adapter is
58mm.while the macro lens that I have is 62mm diameter. I could simply
use step down ring to solve this problem, but could if the macro lens
with a larger diameter can work in this adapter?my macro lens is +8
not +10, can be work too?
this is DIY 35mm DOF adapter that use for camcorder.the extension tube is to increase the focal length.
your question does not make a lot of sense.
first, extension tubes are used to allow a regular lens focus closer than its normal range. since most 35mm lenses are bayonet mount, they don't attach with screw threads, 62mm or 58mm.
a closeup adaptor lens (perhaps this is what you are calling a macro) screws on the filter thread of the main lens. there is no reason to be using an extension tube. a diopter or closeup lens will work fine with a 58 to 62mm adaptor.
a +8 diopter is a very strong closeup adaptor. it will have an extremely shallow DOF, probably less than 1 mm, why you are trying to reduce the DOF even further is a mystery to me.
if you were to explain what the subject is, what camera and adaptors were being used more clearly, you might get some better suggestions.
